Celebrating 150 Years of AMC

In 2026, the Appalachian Mountain Club embarks on a 2,000+ mile relay from Virginia to Maine — a pennant passed hand to hand, honoring 150 years of adventure, trail-building, and conservation. It echoes how AMC began in 1876: an invitation to explore the mountains together. The relay began on March 14, led mile by mile by AMC chapters and volunteers from Virginia to Maine. There's still time to lace up, grab a paddle, or join an event along the way.
